Our complete line-up of cakes includes the following: Black Forest Cake, Carrot cake, Chocolate ganache cake, Dutch Almond-filled torte (Gevulde Boterkoek), Fruit cake, Lemon Chiffon cake, Mocha cake, Strawberry mousse cake, Tiramisu cake, and Traditional Chocolate or Vanilla cake.

Depending on the icing used, some of our cakes can be made dairy-free. Please advise us if you have a dairy sensitivity.

Cupcakes

Sometimes we’ll make our cake recipes into cupcakes: Carrot, Chocolate, Lemon, or Vanilla topped with either butter cream or dairy-free icing. And for a truly decadent treat, we make a Double chocolate cheesecake cupcake which is a chocolate cupcake filled with cream cheese and chocolate chips. They’re rich enough on their own that they don’t need icing.

Cheesecakes

We make a variety of cheesecakes including: Chocolate, Irish cream, New York style with fruit topping, and Pumpkin.

Ordering info

All our cakes and cheesecakes are completed to order and we request 3-5 business days notice to ensure your cake is completed on the day you require it.

Cake descriptions

Black Forest cake

A chocolate cake filled with kirsch-soaked cherries, topped with whipping cream & chocolate flakes, and decorated with maraschino cherries.

Carrot cake

A traditional favourite that includes sultana raisins and is frosted with cream cheese icing. Can be made using a dairy-free icing.

Chocolate ganache cake

Chocolate layer cake filled with whipped chocolate ganache, covered with butter cream icing and then decorated with chocolate ganache drizzled over top – a definite hit with chocolate lovers.

Dutch Almond filled torte

A shortbread-like flan filled with almond paste that has just a hint of lemon and is topped with almond pieces.

Fruit cake

We took a family recipe that won first prize at the 1935 CNE and modified it to be gluten-free. Available primarily at Christmas, it comes plain or soaked in rum and is aged for about 90 days.

Lemon Chiffon cake

Lemon cake layers filled and iced with butter cream icing. Can be made using a dairy-free icing.

Mocha cake

Light sponge layers alternating with mocha butter cream filling and icing. Can be made using a dairy-free icing.

Strawberry mousse cake

Light sponge layers filled with strawberry mousse and covered with whipped cream and strawberries. Available when strawberries are in season.

Tiramisu cake

Light sponge layers filled with mascarpone and cream filled layers, and surrounded with lady finger styled biscuits.

Traditional chocolate cake

Chocolate cake layers with raspberry filling and butter cream icing. Can be made using a dairy-free icing.

Traditional vanilla cake

Vanilla cake layers filled and iced with butter cream icing. Can be made using a dairy-free icing.
